Shiver, the contest

A friend and fellow blogger, Kai Strand has asked a few friends to pay it forward and help promote a book that will soon be released. Here is the book blurb:

Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater

For years, Grace has watched the wolves in the woods behind her house. One yellow-eyed wolf--her wolf--is a chilling presence she can't seem to live without. Meanwhile, Sam has lived two lives: In winter, the frozen woods, the protection of the pack, and the silent company of a fearless girl. In summer, a few precious months of being human . . . until the cold makes him shift back again.

Now, Grace meets a yellow-eyed boy whose familiarity takes her breath away. It's her wolf. It has to be. But as winter nears, Sam must fight to stay human--or risk losing himself, and Grace, forever.

Shiver, coming soon to bookstores near you. Pre-order now through Amazon or your local indie.

The idea of the promo is to (obviously) create a buzz...

I have gone to Maggie’s site and left her a comment showing I am joining Kai's team to help promote the book. Anyone else want to help pay it forward?

Hi Galen,

Thanks so much - so sorry for the earlier confusion, I had a typo in url and didn't catch it. I appreciate you coming back and trying again!

Hi Karen,

Sorry for the confusion. I had a medical thing last week (under general anesthesia) when I got home I was reading all the class posts about keeping the signatures and stuff consistant. I got the bright idea with that to change my url from nancysharpe.blogsot.com to nasharpe.blogspot.com since everything is published under NA Sharpe. It messed things up big time. I thought it was because I had networked the blogs under Facebook but they say it is either a blogger issue or a feedburner issue. Trying to get it resolved but I really muffed things up. Lesson learned: after anesthesia never sign any legal documents, never make major financial decisions and NEVER mess around with the computer and change your url...sigh.

Thanks for stopping by the real site though! :D

Sounds like a good book, and good of you to post this and help "pay it forward." What goes around comes around. :)

Hi Enid,

I know, there are issues with my url that I am trying hard to get fixed. It is really difficult when you don't know what the heck you are doing and everyone points you different directions (whether it is a networked blog issue, a blogger issue or a feedburner issue) Frustrating, for sure. Sigh, wish I could just twitch my nose and fix the doggone thing, lol.

Marv,
Thanks. The book sounded good to me, too and I think it is a good thing to help each other promote our books. Wishing Shiver tons of success!

Nancy, thank you for introducing Shiver. Interesting premise and a bit different take on werewolves.

I did a tweet for it. :-)

Hi Sia!

Glad to see you over here! I agree, Shiver sounds like it has a slightly different werewolf angle. I can't wait to read it!
